Hey That Was Me!
Written by Boston Biker on Feb 26
I am pretty sure I can now die happy, I made BikeyFace. I do tend to ride past her (we have opposite direction commutes), and I do recall a rather “whaaa” look on her face when I was all bundled up in a scarf. If you are reading this BikeyFace, mystery solved.

Hope You All Made It Through The Snow Safely
Written by Boston Biker on Feb 09Reddit user Tmaeee took this fun shot sequence.
Best part so far has been the lack of cars on the road, honestly I would love to see it like this all the time. (the no cars, not the 3 feet of blowing snow)
Share your snow pics in the comments. I was out today, and yes I saw some cyclists, hard core Boston, hard core.

Remove McGrath Campaign Update
But we’re not done fighting for all users of McGrath. Without continued pressure, the timeline for removal will slip. We are demanding commitments by MassDOT to remove the overpass by 2018, coinciding with the Green Line Extension completion.
What would our streets be like if they weren’t covered by cars? They would be full of people listening to and playing music: rock, folk, drums, marimba, and classical. People doing yoga, zumba, fitness, jumping rope, and families bicycling, strolling, and playing. Food and art. Fun and socializing.
On July 15, over 5,000 people enjoyed all this and more at Boston’s Open Streets festival, Circle The City, along car-free roads from Jamaica Pond to Franklin Park.
On August 5, Circle The City will be happening on a car-free corridor along the Kennedy Greenway from 10am-1pm. Come out and enjoy open streets for you!
Circle The City is organized by LivableStreets Alliance, Emerald Necklace Conservancy, Boston Consortium for Food and Fitness, Franklin Park Coalition, Rose Kennedy Greenway, and the City of Boston.
Bike Friday
Friday July 27, 7am-9am

Davis Square Streetscape Improvements Public Presentation

Why?
Part 9, on why LivableStreets is working to create safe and better streets for all.

“If you want federal transportation money to go to biking and walking, start agitating locally. If accessibility advocates and biking and walking advocates make their voices heard in their state capitols and in their county and city councils, there’s no reason to believe that the tremendous progress we’ve made in the last three years can’t continue.“
– Ray LaHood, Secretary, U.S Department of Transportation, July 23
