Tomorrow is Boston’s 14th annual Boston Halloween Bike Ride, by far my personal favorite group bike ride in Boston. Last year over 500 riders showed up in costume. This year’s Halloween Bike Ride includes a NEW starting location in Copley Square, neighborhood convoys to the starting point, and a pretty epic after-party in Allston’s Wonderbar. Let’s get spooky. Rodman Ride For Kids
Written by Boston Biker on Jun 22Another great charity ride coming up at the end of the summer.
————————-
This September, Boston Medical Center is reaching out and encouraging cycling lovers and friends of all ages to participate with Team BMC in the Rodman Ride for Kids on Saturday, September 24, 2011. This charity event is
a 25, 50, and 100-mile non-competitive cycling tour throughout the state of Massachusetts. (Maps of each route can be viewed at: http://www.rodmanrideforkids.org/site/content/ride_day.html ). In addition to the scenic ride, bikers are invited to enjoy a finish-line barbecue, vendor sampling, and other activities. The Rodman Ride for Kids is a gift-matching charity working to support at-risk youth in Massachusetts. By joining Team BMC, cyclists will be helping to raise money for at-risk children and pediatric programs at the hospital. Every dollar raised directly supports the cause, and is matched by 10% by Rodman Ride.
For more information, please contact Jessica Orndorff at 617-638-6910, or via email at [email protected].

Dear select contacts in the Boston cycling and cycling retail communities:
A-B bikes is assisting with soliciting donations of bikes (in ANY condition) for a bike apprenticeship program that is planned for this fall to be offered through an after school program called Citizen Schools at the Edison Middle School in Brighton Center.
If you’re interested in learning more, please see the posting here.
