Rodman Ride For Kids

Written by Boston Biker on Jun 22

Another great charity ride coming up at the end of the summer.

————————-

This September, Boston Medical Center is reaching out and encouraging cycling lovers and friends of all ages to participate with Team BMC in the Rodman Ride for Kids on Saturday, September 24, 2011. This charity event is
a 25, 50, and 100-mile non-competitive cycling tour throughout the state of Massachusetts. (Maps of each route can be viewed at: http://www.rodmanrideforkids.org/site/content/ride_day.html ). In addition to the scenic ride, bikers are invited to enjoy a finish-line barbecue, vendor sampling, and other activities. The Rodman Ride for Kids is a gift-matching charity working to support at-risk youth in Massachusetts. By joining Team BMC, cyclists will be helping to raise money for at-risk children and pediatric programs at the hospital. Every dollar raised directly supports the cause, and is matched by 10% by Rodman Ride.

The minimum fundraising goal is $1,000 which Boston Medical Center will help participants to achieve by providing fundraising tips and personalized fundraising plans. Additionally, BMC will offer cyclists nutrition and training tips on their website at: www.teambmc.org.
