Hubway Closed For The Blizzard

Hello Hubway rider,
Due to a forecast of inclement weather, Hubway will temporarily close at 11 AM on Thursday, February 9th, for the safety of our riders and staff. Once the closure has begun, no bikes can be rented at the stations, though any bikes in use at that time can be returned to any Hubway station with an available dock.
Following the storm, Hubway field staff will be working to clear stations, after which the Cambridge stations will reopen. Stations in Boston, Brookline, and Somerville, which are already closed, will remain closed for the remainder of the season.
We understand that forecasts vary and may change, and we will make sure to get updates to you. Closure and re-opening information will be posted to the Hubway website, Facebook, and Twitter. We will also send another email when the system is ready to reopen. For real-time station, bike, and dock availability, visit our station map, or call to speak with a Member Service Representative at 1-855-9HUBWAY (948-2929).

Hubway Shut Down For The Storm

From Hubway:
Due to a forecast of inclement weather, Hubway will temporarily close at 12PM noon on Saturday, January 7th, to protect the safety of our riders and staff. Once the closure has begun, no bikes can be rented at the stations, though any bikes in use at that time can be returned to any Hubway station with an available dock.
Following the storm, Hubway field staff will be working to clear stations, after which the Cambridge stations will reopen. Boston stations will remain closed for the remainder of the season. While the Boston stations were originally scheduled to be removed a few at a time throughout the next week, the expected snowfall will require additional time for Hubway field staff to prepare and remove the stations.
We understand that forecasts vary and may change. Closure and re-opening information will be posted to the Hubway website, Facebook, and Twitter. For real-time station, bike, and dock availability, visit our station map, or call to speak with a Member Service Representative at 1-855-9HUBWAY (948-2929).

Winter Mega Storm Aught 15 To Close Hubway Stations
Written by Boston Biker on Jan 26In case you couldn’t figure out from the apocalyptic messages emanating from every media device, its going to snow, a lot, Tuesday. Stay inside, bust out the trainers, and sweat out some holiday calories while watching a movie, oh also the Hubways will be closed (duh).

| Hello Hubway member,
Due to a Blizzard Warning from the National Weather Service (NWS), Hubway willtemporarily close all stations at 7:00PM on Monday, January 26th, to protect the safety of our members and staff. No bikes can be rented after the temporary closure has begun. Any bikes in use at the time of closure can be returned to any Hubway station with an available dock. Please note: throughout the day, Hubway field staff will be applying covers to some of the docking points at many stations to protect them from snow accumulation. This will reduce the actual number of docks available in the system and will impact the accuracy of dock availability numbers displayed on Spotcycle and other Hubway-related apps.
We expect Hubway to remain closed for the duration of the NWS Blizzard Warning and thereafter until conditions have improved. Annual and monthly members will be informed of re-opening plans via email. Closure and re-opening information will also be posted to the Hubway website, Facebook, and Twitter.

Hubway Shutting Down For The Storm

No bikes can be rented after the temporary closure has begun, though any bikes in use at the time can be returned to any Hubway station with an available dock.
We understand that forecasts vary and may change. Closure and re-opening information will be posted to the Hubway website, Facebook, and Twitter. Annual and monthly members will also be informed of closure and re-opening via email.

Chelsea Street Bridge Is Closing
Written by Boston Biker on Jun 01Just a heads up, the Chelsea st. Bridge will be closed till December.
The signature $125 million Chelsea Street Bridge project moves into its next critical phase with demolition of the existing bridge and construction of the remaining portions of the new lift structure.
To allow for the work, beginning on Wednesday June 1st, at 12:00 AM and continuing through Thursday, December 1st, the Chelsea Street bridge over Chelsea Creek at the Boston/Chelsea line will be closed.
