May Is Bike Month!
Written by Boston Biker on May 03It’s May, that means it’s national bike month! Can you feel the bikey goodness out there? This years bike month promises to be bigger and better than last years.
In an effort to keep track of all the many many many bike month events I have borrowed MassBike’s excellent calendar and plopped it over there in the side bar. It is also below. If you want to be a part of the MANY bike month activities go to BayStateBikeWeek.org and get involved!
Be sure to sign up for the commuter challenge so your miles ridden during bike week will go towards the total.

Are You Ready For Bay State Bike Week!
Written by Boston Biker on May 11That’s right kids, May is national bike month, and starting tomorrow, Bay State Bike Week kicks off. This is going to be a week of bike related awesomeness. Things kick off Monday with a press conference/mini bike ride at government center. Menino will be holding it down at 2pm SHARP, come throw down for bicycles with the mayor, myself, and a bunch of other bikers. Hit up Government Center (that brick wasteland in front of city hall) at exactly 2pm, it promises to be a good time.
Also if you haven’t already you should register for the 50,000 mile commuter challenge. I think the total is already over 90k and they are trying to push it to 100k! Register the amount of miles you are going to ride your bike next week. Find more details here.
