Broadway Bicycle School is starting up some new Basic Bicycle Mechanic classes this November. There are two classes being offered on Sundays starting in November. In December, Broadway will be breaking out their Basic Mechanic class into five individual sessions that can be taken on an a la carte basis.

Broadway Bicycle School is offering two sections of its Basic class starting in February. The Basic class is part lecture and part hands-on work on your own bike. The five classes cover- fixing a flat, front hub adjustment, brake adjustment, chain replacement and rear derailleur adjustment.
February/March Schedule:
Tuesdays, 6:30 – 8:30pm, February 17th – March 17th. Cost $120
Wednesdays, 6:30 – 8:30pm, February 18th – March 18th. Cost: $120.

Come get your art on, WHILE getting your bike on. Broadway is run by some cool cats, and now they have some cool art to prove it.
Thursday the 12th is the Grand Opening of the new Door 3 Gallery at Broadway Bicycle School. A two artist show on the theme of bicycles.
Wine and Cheese will be available 7pm-830pm NOTE: the shop will be open for regular business at this time. Come on people wine AND cheese AND art AND bikes, pure win.

Broadway Bicycle School is accepting applications through March 8th for Bicycle Mechanic positions starting in April.
Broadway Bicycle School is a unique, collectively owned, full-service bicycle repair shop. Since 1972, Broadway has been committed to performing the highest-quality repairs, and to providing a place where workers and customers feel comfortable learning and being themselves. In addition to selling new and used bikes, parts and accessories, we teach people how to fix their bikes, conducting bicycle repair classes as well as one-on-one instruction to customers.
Entry-level Bicycle Mechanic:
- Full-time position
- Experience preferred, but will train
- Must be willing to commit from April through mid-October (possibly longer)
- Must be available Saturdays and some Sundays
- Women and people of color encouraged to apply
- Retail/service experience a plus
- Teaching experience a plus
- Interest in collectively-run organizations a plus
- Starting wage $9.50, more with bike shop experience.
