Is It Just Me…

Written by Boston Biker on Jul 10

Or have the timing on the lights on Broadway in Cambridge (especially near Galileo) been changed?

Over time I get used to timing all my commute lights with near perfect results (I always hit the same greens, always stop at the same reds), but now I seem to be off, a lot. I am hitting greens that should be reds (a lot more of them actually), and some reds that should be green.

Anyone else notice this?

Good Bike Lawyers

Written by Boston Biker on Feb 26

Got a question from a reader in search of a good bike lawyer, I know of at least one. Jason & Fischer the “bike attorneys” are quality representation if you have a bike related legal need, anyone else know of any others?

Funny Thing…

Written by Boston Biker on Oct 10

I try not to let my mind wander too much on my morning commute, but one thing I can’t help but notice is all the other cyclists.  I “register” them real fast, male/female/other,  tall/short/other, fast/slow/in my way, etc.  In the same way I try to register cars when I quickly look over my shoulder white/sedan/fast, etc.  Its just a little game I play with myself, and I like looking at good looking people, and cyclists are very often good looking people.

Funny thing is over the last couple weeks I would say my morning commute has become almost 100% female.  I don’t really know why this would be, is it the part of town I live in, the time I ride to work, a massive upswing in the number of female cyclists…its just strange.

Have you noticed any large shift in the makeup of the people you ride to work with every day?  Do you see the same people every week.  Have there been more lately? Open thread in the comments, tell me about your commute and the people you see on it.

Riding With Your Sweety

Written by Boston Biker on Feb 06

(via)

I couldn’t help it, that picture is so romantic. Nothing says I love you like “I will carry you and the bike back after you flat out.”

With valentines day right around the corner I was wondering how many of you ride with your sweeties? If so how do you work that relationship? If not, how do you deal with your “two loves” so to speak?
