Some great video from Greg over at his site documenting the new bike lanes on the BU bridge. Thanks Greg!

Motor traffic moved quite swimmingly over the BU Bridge today as I rode over on my bicycle in its brand-spanking-new freshly painted bike lanes; not quite the “spur” of “road rage” Boston Globe columnist Stephanie Ebbert predicted some two years ago that I was looking forward to seeing. Very nice! I liked the setup with the orange barrels better, but this is an improvement over the two lanes, well, at least the way most people rode in them, and vastly improved over the old four lane death trap.

I thought the rotary was also getting more work done?

According to MassDOT, improvements to the Cambridge rotary are still planned as part of the BU Bridge project. They just haven’t gotten to it yet.

The marking for the bike lane have been warn off from cars and trucks running over the lines after a right turn off of Memorial drive. This is a video of a dangerous sweep of a truck trailer, that would have been extremely dangerous for anyone in the lane.
Besides defensive driving can they not repaint the lines!
