Google Adds New Bike Features To Google Maps

Google has just added an option that will show cycletracks or offset bike paths in the bicycling layer in Google Maps. When
you turn the biking layer on, roads that have cycletracks on them (such as Vasser Street in Cambridge) will turn to the dark green Google trails designation. It will transition to the light green with the outline of the road bike lane designation when the cycletrack transitions back to a bike lane.
I will be adding and updating cycletrack information in the area as part of my responsibilities as a Regional Moderator for Google. This is very exciting as moderators from across the US and Canada have been asking for this option since last fall!!
