2nd Annual Haunted “Hey” Ride
Keeping the good feelings rolling with this years edition of the Hey Ride ending at Redbones – October 30th
The cycling industry, bike organizations and the public are all welcome on our fall social ride to Redbones!
Last year’s ride was such a success we’re once again bringing folks together for good conversation, BBQ and a haunted good ride. Expect a moderate pace so bring your; road, cx, commuter bike; anything with slicks should be fine.
We are leaving from our bike shop at 109 Atlantic Ave at 4pm on Sunday, October 30th and going for a ride to a few of our favorite haunts. Expect the ride to last two hours ending at Redbones for BBQ/Beer and some laughs. Join us and your friends on Facebook for more info.

Urban AdvenTours is a bike rental and tour company and the only bike shop Downtown. We are looking for an experienced bicycle mechanic who is eager to help develop a growing shop. In addition to working on customer bikes, responsibilities will include maintaining our fleet of rental bikes, managing shop inventory, and selling bike parts and accessories. This is an opportunity for a motivated and knowledgeable individual to take ownership of a growing shop and responsibility for repairs and maintenance. Ideal candidates will be detail-oriented, friendly with customers, and prepared to take on responsibilities beyond just wrenching. Urban AdvenTours: Guided Bicycle Tours and Bike Rentals is a local, green company that shows visitors and locals the best of Boston by bike. We are currently a top rated Boston activity on TripAdvisor and we just opened a new location in the North End.
Urban AdvenTours is looking to add more enthusiastic, hard-working Tour Guides to help lead our daily and custom tours of Boston. Tours visit several of Boston’s neighborhoods and highlight the history, architecture, and other points of interest that make Boston such a wonderful city. Tour guides are the face of the company and can make a huge impact on tourists and residents alike.
Responsibilities:
• Preparing for tour by readying bikes, water bottles, helmets, and more
• Enthusiastically greeting all tour participants and making them feel comfortable about their bike tour
• Safely leading groups on Boston’s streets and paths
• Delivering tour information during several stops along the tour
• Engaging customers in conversation throughout their tour
• Participating in tour debriefs with UA guides and staff
• When not on tour, guides may be asked to help with:
o Sizing rental bikes for customers
o Assisting with shop duties
o Tuning and cleaning our bike fleet
o Other tasks as needed
Qualifications:
• Must demonstrate a commitment to safety and display conservative judgment
• Must be a cyclist
• Must be comfortable cycling in the city
• Must be professional and have excellent interpersonal skills
• Should be comfortable with basic bicycle maintenance

Responsibilities will include representing and promoting Urban AdvenTours on social networking sites, promoting UA on our blog and other blogs, organizing contact lists and other marketing materials, helping us identify and contact potential customers and partners, and assisting with office and administrative tasks. Candidates should be organized and competent with computer applications including web browsers and Microsoft Office. Those with web/graphic design experience are also encouraged to apply.
