Parlee Bike Package for CWE Auction

Written by Boston Biker on Apr 05

Got this in the email, looks like a good way to get a fancy bike very cheaply while supporting a good cause.

My name is Greia Amarra, Auction Coordinator at the Center for Women & Enterprise in Boston (www.cweonline.org). CWE is a non-profit organization committed to helping women achieve their dreams of entrepreneurship by providing access to education, training, and capital.

We are hosting our Annual Auction & Gala Dinner on April 10th at the Seaport Hotel. I’m writing because we need help marketing one of our live auction items – a PARLEE Bike/DuVine International Bike Tour package. The package includes a custom made PARLEE Z4 carbon fiber road bike build with an SRAM kit; a $1,000 PARLEE gift certificate for custom fittings and accessories; and a $500 gift certificate to DuVine Adventures bike tours and merchandise.

We are introducing a proxy bid system this year and would like to spread the word about this featured auction package to cyclists in MA and RI. Serious bidders can contact our office days prior to the auction, give us their highest bid and a member of the CWE staff will bid on their behalf up to their maximum bid at the auction.

Pedal Powered Art Show, Auction and Party!

Written by Boston Biker on Jan 07

Got this in the mail today, looks like a great time! Check it out!

————————————-

Art show, Auction and Party wrap-up CX 2009 at Wheelworks,
480 Trapelo Rd, Belmont
Thursday, January 21, 2010 6pm-10pm

Now that the post-race adrenaline has dissolved in blood and alcohol, it’s time to go back and savor the juicy bits of muddy war-times. It’s like a good aged wine (or whiskey), to be consumed, unlike recovery beer, by contemplatively engaging your palate to discover the nuances of this season’s cyclocross crop.

Here’s a preview scoop on what to expect:
– photography, posters, paintings
– free beer provided by Wheelworks and Cambridge Bicycle Racing Team
– free food by Sofra bakery
– friends, more friends and people who will become your friends
– music
– AUCTION (more on that here)

Those who anticipate transportation problems, please e-mail me to set you up with carpooling!
That was short, right?

Pedal Power Photography website has been slightly updated and highly recommend the Portrait gallery for your viewing pleasure.

Happy Holidays!
Hope to see you at the Show,
