Signs Of Life, Signs Of A Revolution
Written by Boston Biker on Jan 14I took this a couple days ago when it was really cold. It’s often hard to tell how many cyclists are out on the streets. They leave traces though.
With the recent warmth I have noticed a storm of new riders in the morning, and I am sure for every four or five I see there are 10-20 that are riding at slightly different speed/times than me.
There is a revolution out there, all year, all weather, lots and lots of people on bikes!

That one day where it was 9 degrees in the morning I saw quite a few people out…
I’ve been doing the same commute for 3 years now (going on 12 years bike commuting in the area) last winter there were barely any people out – this winter I’m with at least 4 or 5 others at every light – and many of them are women!
I can’t wait until it starts getting warmer.
