MassBike Seeks A Paid Intern ASAP!

We hope you’ve heard about our Bikeable Communities Program, because we are looking for some help to finish up a few BCT projects we’ve had simmering. This is a great opportunity for a current or recent student to help out with advancing bicycle infrastructure, policies and programs in communities around the state.

Much of this work will be research-oriented. We need to find out about best practices from around the state and nation, and communicate those to the relevant decision makers in our communities. However, there will be multiple opportunities to get your hands dirty in the field. We frequently attend public meetings, undertake bikeability assessments, or do site visits. We are also interested in innovative ways to present information, so any experience with video or other multimedia is a big plus.

This internship only lasts until September 30th, and we have flexibility in the time commitment. Depending on the candidate’s availability and qualifications, we could go as high as 40 hours per week, but definitely will be at least 20 hours per week.

See the full job description here.

If you are interested in applying to this position, please send a cover letter, resume, and writing sample no longer than two pages to [email protected]. We will accept applications until the position is filled, though prefer applications to be sent in by Friday, August 2nd.
