I am appalled they wasted perfectly good bikes for this testing when some Huffys could have been sacrificed for the greater good.
This system is great an all until some drunken college kids jump or fall on a car, or street thugs go on a vandalism spree. Popping a dent or patching/replacing a slashed tire pales on comparison to airbag replacement. Vandalism issues could very easily turn these safety features into a nightmare and discourage their deployment
There would have to be some sort of system to disable the feature when the car is not in motion or the ignition is switched off.
