i was also sort of hoping all the positive social benefits would come along with them as well. But perhaps if you start with a couple bikes the rest will follow!
I guess bikes not bombs is similar, but they need more shiny wheels.

I’ve wondered about painting my bike, but I’ve been kind of afraid too. I feel like I ought to strip off all the mechanical components first and paint the frame by itself. I guess their bikes run okay with some spray paint on the derailleurs.
