Got this in the email, if you have never seen Quicksilver (or even if you have) I highly recommend it, brilliant bit of 80’s pop craziness.

Quicksilver at Bike Movie Night

Agassiz Community Center, 20 Child St., Jamaica Plain, MA 02130 Get in the mood for the spring biking season! Ferris Wheels Bike Shop and Boston City Councilor Matt O’ Malley bring you bike movie nights at Agassiz Community Center. Tonight’s movie is Quicksilver, starring Kevin Bacon (1986). Corporate big-shot Jack Casey drops out of the corporate rat race and becomes a bike messenger. He likes the freedom of riding the streets, not wearing a suit and tie and moving through the city as a freelance observer. RATED PG. This event is FREE. Popcorn and soda available. Get in the mood for the spring biking season! Ferris Wheels Bike Shop and Boston City Councilor Matt O’ Malley bring you bike movie nights at Agassiz Community Center. Tonight’s movie is The Flying Scotsman, starring Jonny Lee Miller (2006). Based on the true story of Scottish cyclist Graeme Obree who, in 1993 as an unemployed amateur, broke the world one-hour record on a bike of his own revolutionary design, which he constructed out of scrap metal and parts of a washing machine. Biycle Dreams at Bike Movie Night

Ferris Wheels Bike Shop and Boston City Councilor Matt O’ Malley bring you bike movie nights at Agassiz Community Center. Bicycle Dreams (2010) chronicles The Race Across America, a 3,000-mile bicycle race across the US. First held in 1982, RAAM is considered the most challenging sporting event in the world. Top riders finish in 10 days, riding 300 miles per day and sleeping a few hours a night. Riders endure Mojave Desert heat, the Rockies, the winds of the Great Plains, and the Appalachians before the sprint finish in Atlantic City. The film team used 18 cameras to uncover the inner workings of the race, capturing emotional and physical breakdowns, late-night strategy sessions, and personal triumphs. Documentary; unrated.. Breaking Away at Bike Movie Night

Ferris Wheels Bike Shop and Boston City Councilor Matt O’ Malley bring you bike movie nights at Agassiz Community Center. Tonigt’s movie is Breaking Away, starring Dennis Quaid and Dennis Christopher (1979). Four teenagers in Bloomington, Indiana, who have graduated from high school, are not sure what they want to do with their lives. One of the boys is obsessed with cycling and seeks to find himself through competitive cycling. Academy Award winner and fan favorite! PG. This event is FREE. Popcorn and soda available. A 1986 feature film about a stock trader who loses all his money and becomes a bike messenger in NYC. Then lots of funny and awesome stuff happens.
