Pedal Power Photography Show at Wheelworks

Written by Boston Biker on Dec 21

Got this in the email, go check this out!

—————————————–

Now that the post-race adrenaline has dissolved in blood and alcohol, it’s time to go back and savor the juicy bits of muddy war-times. It’s like a good aged wine (or whiskey), to be consumed, unlike recovery beer, by contemplatively engaging your palate to discover the nuances of this season’s cyclocross crop.

This is to mark your calendars for
Thursday, January 21st, 2010.
Pedal Power Photography and friends will host an end-of-season show/party at Wheelworks in Belmont

Here’s a preview scoop on what to expect:
- photography, posters, paintings
- beer
- food by Sofra bakery
- pasta from Colavita
- friends, more friends and people who will become your friends
- music
- AUCTION (more on that in a pretty flyer to come out after New Year’s as a reminder)
- ACTION

That was short, right?

And here’s a cookie for those who read it to the end and marked their calendars:

Happy Holidays Everyone!!
Beer.Cupcake.Mustache. – now available at Wheelworks in Belmont

Beer.Cupcake.Mustache. sums it up in black and white print form. The book contains interviews and b/w photographs of 50 cyclocross racers, categories 4 through Elite (read: beginners through pro’s); featuring interview with Richard Fries, Hannah
Kirshner (Elite racer and a famous cupcake maker) and the North Star of the ‘Cross Style
- Yash Katsumi. A rumour has it that the guru has retired from cx racing because it was impeding Yash’s focus on keeping cx style and culture in check.

An illustrated glossary of basic cyclocross phenomenae is included to make sure that non-racing audience feels comfortable flipping through the book.

If you ever wonder why some (so many even perhaps here in the north east?) people go out of their way to compete in ultimate suffering while fighting mud, sleet, snow, rain, hail and their brain (which screams – “STOP!! NO MORE!!” and that’s point where you push even harder if you are a racer), you need this book.

Beer.Cupcake.Mustache. goes for $28 online (before tax and s&h) and $25 (before tax) at Wheelworks in Belmont.
