Insane Truck Commercials
Written by Boston Biker on Nov 05I stumbled upon these two videos for Nissan’s “Titan” truck line. If you are not familiar with these behemoths the titan gets a shocking 15 mpg…which I guess makes it pretty standard mpg for “male overcompensation” size trucks these days, but is still pretty miserable.
What struck me most about these commercials is that all the environmental troubles this truck is supposed to help you overcome, (forest fire, floods, extreme weather, droughts, boiling heat, etc) are also all the problems caused by driving giant gas burning trucks.
This couldn’t possibly be purposeful could it?
Have these companies no shame? Are they really using climate change imagery (a problem caused by their own inefficient vehicles), to sell more of their vehicles?
