This is so true. I lived in west Dedham for 4 years. All the neighbors got in their cars from their built in garages and drove off to run errands. No one walked around the neighborhood and so no neighborly relations existed. When I moved back to my beloved Roslindale, where people walk, I met new neighbors within days.
