Update: Pedestrian Injury Near BU

Just heard preliminary news of a fairly severe accident at BU’s central campus, outside of 675 Comm Ave (Stone Science), corner of Granby St. Bike on car, the rider’s a girl, police arrived and closed down street, EMS on scene and likely transported biker to hospital. Lots of witnesses. Bad news, I hope she isnt hurt bad.

I have reports that it was a pedestrian and not a cyclist? Anyone got any other information on this. It wouldn’t surprise me at all the way people drive/cross the street in that area. While I am never happy when anyone gets injured, it would be nice to not have any more cyclists go down.

the young woman struck by a vehicle on Comm. Ave. was a BU student and was walking, not riding — there was no bike involved. She was taken to the hospital
