Read how you can win prizes below!
When the sun is warm, and the breeze is sweet many people turn to their bicycle as the preferred form of transport and recreation. Be it touring, racing, transport, or just for fun, cycling in the summer is its own special joy.
Sometimes you travel across country, or across town, but each journey on a bicycle is a wonderful story. Sure you could tell your friends about it, or you could keep it to yourself, or you could tell all of us and win prizes!
It can be a true story of your journey across country on your bicycle, a fiction story about a cyclist battling the low gravity of the moon, or a combination of both. It can be happy, sad, scary, exciting, fiction, non-fiction, first person, third person, whatever. Pictures help, but are not required. If you already blog here, it can even be something you have already written.
How To enter
Entering the contest is totally free, just sign up for a blog here on BostonBiker.org (if you already have a blog here, you can skip this step), write up the post, then contact me and tell me what post you want to enter. You can enter as many stories as you like, just write each one in a separate post.
The prizes!
Every single person that enters will be put into a raffle for various cycling books, one entry per story.
The books are:
The Lost Cyclist
Bicycling For women
Weight Training For Cyclists
Come And Gone
A Dog In A Hat
Training Plans For Cyclists
After the deadline the stories will be voted upon by the general public and the story voted most popular will receive a free custom head badge from me in their choice of copper, brass, bronze, or steel.
Details
Deadline for entries is September 10th at 5pm. Raffle winners will be picked that day. Prizes will be shipped via USPS, so winners will need to provide an address.
Voting will continue until September 20th at noon, and the winner will be announced that day. I will get in touch with the winner in order to hash out the details for the Head badge.
If you have any questions just drop them in the comments, I look forward to seeing what adventures you got yourself into.
