On the 10th, I saw a car drive into the front wheel/handlebars of my brand new Mercier Kilo S3X (while I was on it). Fun fun!

last night I saw a car stop in the middle of Green Street just south of the Central Square YWCA and take up the whole lane while a woman with a cane slowly got out of the shotgun seat. I stopped, rather than scootch around through the slush and she looked at me, nodded and thanked me for being patient with an old woman.

This AM, happened to ride with a nice fellow from the BU cycling team, as we were both heading down Comm Ave & Mass Ave towards the South End. Had a nice conversation on the ride in.
Yesterday saw a number of cars being rather polite with cyclists dealing with the rain/slush/snow, which was pretty surprising to me, but inspired some good will in the other direction as well.
It’s nice when we’re all friendly and can get along.

Yesterday I saw a psyclist (all lit up and blinky like) nearly take out a pedestrian (who was jay-walking mind you) and take a religious figurehead’s name in vain to berate the person for jay-walking into his path. How can someone rightfully be upset when they were blowing a red light? He proceeded to pass a line of cars on the left (that were stopped at a red light) and then take a left on red (also illegal in this situation). I’m the law-abiding cycling type, so I laughed at his hypocrisy and went on my way. People can wear all the reflectors and lights they want but they’re the responsible party if they’re disobeying traffic laws and get smoked by a car.

Last week I saw an old guy using a cane, coming out of the supermarket, carrying a bag of groceries.
He walked over to his bike and got on!
