New Feature, Easier Video Embed
Written by Boston Biker on Mar 23Some people have reported having trouble with embedding videos on their site, if you are one of them take a look at your settings screen, you will see a new option called “kses extent” simple check all the boxes and click save, this should allow video embedding, you may still have to turn the visual text editor off (in the users menu), or go to the HTML view on the new post screen, but it should work. Let me know if you are having any troubles.
If you don’t embed video’s you can ignore this.

New Feature: Custom CSS
Written by Boston Biker on Jun 10I have added the ability for you to edit your themes css. If this all sounds like alien language to you, you can safely ignore this, but if you are a web geek and enjoy the ability to modify your own CSS, you can now do so from the appearance tab on your dashboard (click the little “Custom CSS” link).
Be warned however you can seriously mess up the look of your site this way, if however you mess it up really bad simply click the restore default button and it will go back to normal. Also be aware that if you switch themes you most likely have to redo all your custom edits. So pick a theme you like first, then fiddle with it.
Some good resources to help you get started with CSS
W3school
Firebug Plugin For firefox browser (this thing is awesome!)
As always if something is broken, or if you need help, contact me.

Contact Forms For Your Blog
Written by Boston Biker on Sep 17You may have noticed the ever so fun contact form we use here at BostonBiker.org to let you the unwashed Cycling masses tell us all your thoughts, submit events, and in general keep me up to date on all things bike (thanks by the way, reader submissions are awesome!).
But what if you want a similar awesome form on your own blog?! Now you can. I have (hopefully if all went correct) turned on the Contact form plug-in for each of your blogs, simply go to the settings drop down in the backend, click on Contact form ][ (the name of the contact form plug-in) set it up how you like, then use the little “insert contact form” button to put the form into any page or post, for instance the one below.
Neat right! Let me know if you have any problems.
EDIT: Seems that it might be a bit hard to get the “insert contact form” button to show up if you are using the visual text editor (which can be set on or off in your profile) so if you are using the visual text editor simply type the following into your post/page to get the contact form to show up CONTACT-FORM surrounded by {}’s {like-this} obviously if I write CONTACT-FORM with the {}’s around them it will just put another contact form in this post…but you get the idea.
