Springtime is for CSA’s!
Pedal-Powered delivery for Local Farm Shares
It’s shaping up to a beautiful spring here in New England. We’re replacing our winter coats and gloves for sunglasses and shorts. If you are like us, your fridge is in some serious need of spring cleaning. Why not fill it up with fresh, locally grown produce?
Just in time for the spring, we are very excited to offer local farm shares delivered right to your door via Metro Pedal Power. Choose which CSA is right for you, and sign up through our website.

Harvard Book Store – Green Delivery!
We have a word problem for you:
a.) Mary enjoys shopping for books by driving to the large national chain bookstore at the mall.
b.) Greg often orders books online, paying premium to expedite his orders from across the country.
c.) Sam purchases books from the Harvard Book Store website, and has those books delivered to his doorstep by Metro Pedal Power the same day he ordered it!
Which one of these book worms is making an effort to support their local economy and their environment?
The answer was recently featured in the Boston Phoenix, who picked Metro Pedal Power’s alliance with the Harvard Book Store as one of the best shopping experiences the local community could ask for. Local book lovers can order books through the harvard.com website, and their purchases will be delivered by Metro Pedal Power’s emission-free vehicles. In-stock items ship the same day.

Winter CSA – Shares Still Available! Get Your Food Delivered By Bike
Written by Boston Biker on Feb 02Got this from Metro Ped, looks pretty awesome.
Metro Pedal Power (formerly New Amsterdam Project)
MetroPed recently teamed up with Enterprise Farm offering home/office delivery of their Winter CSA in Cambridge, Somerville and now in Jamaica Plain and other parts of Boston. There are still shares available in these locations and still a couple of dark winter months to get through. Click here for more information about the CSA. To sign up send an email to [email protected]
How it works
You pay for your share up-front at the start of each month. Every week, we will deliver your pre-packed share to your home or office. Delivery in Cambridge and Somerville is Wednesday afternoons, Thursdays in JP.
There are two share sizes to choose from, small and large. The Winter CSA runs through March, and includes fruits, vegetables and herbs. Studies have shown that customers get a better value by joining a CSA than shopping at a supermarket. It’s the sustainable, local alternative and supports our farms!
Stay tuned for more news from Metro Pedal Power!
