Are you a filmmaker with a bicycling habit? Boston’s longest-running bicycle film festival is on October 12, 2012, and we’re showing the best
short films about the world of two-wheeled fun.
The 8th Annual Boston Bike Film Festival, a benefit for MassBike and Bikes Not Bombs, will be at bicycle-friendly Regent Theatre (new location!) in Arlington. Submissions have already been streaming in, including a short film about a man who lived on his bike, and a brief history of women’s cycling innovator Georgena Terry. In addition to the films, the evening will also feature a vibrant silent auction. Cyclist-favorite Redbones will provide snacks, and beer and wine will be available for purchase.
Films at the Boston Bike Film Festival include animated shorts, narrative stories, and feature length documentaries. Add your film to the contenders – submissions are due September 1, 2012, with an “early bird” deadline of August 1st.
Submit a film, tell your friends, save the date – you’ll want to be a part of this always-growing Festival. Information and details for submissions can be found at www.bostonbikefilmfest.org. Questions can be sent to Cat Bryant at [email protected]
