Improvements For Minuteman Bikeway Amenities
Written by Boston Biker on Sep 11Got this in the mail, you can help make the minuteman better! (thanks Ron for the tip)
——————-
Walkers and cycling users and friends of the Minuteman Bikeway:
The Minuteman Bikeway towns of Arlington, Lexington, and Bedford have received grant funding to design a unified identity for Bikeway amenities (signage, mile markers, benches, road crossings, etc) in all three communities. The program is called “Navigating the Minuteman Bikeway.” The Toole Design Group will lead this process, and WE ARE STARTING THIS PROCESS THIS FALL!.
Two early tasks involve an inventory of existing amenities and features, and also a survey of users. We’d certainly like to get the community involved, and we’d appreciate your help in accomplishing these two important pieces of the grant program. These two efforts will be taking place during the Sept. 24 – Oct. 10 time frame.
Let us know if you can help, and what times of the day you might be available (workday?, evenings?, weekends?). The Toole Design Group will arrange a “training” time for participants, so that volunteers will learn the details needed to successfully gather the information that is needed.
Send me your name and contact information (e-mail as well as phone, please) and your availability for participation. Please join us, and thanks.
