This ride follows Truman Parkway north along the Neponset River, then cuts through Milton along the river to Dorchester Lower Mills, where we’ll cross the river and bike through Olmsted-designed Dorchester Park. We’ll follow John Adams’ commuting route, turning off it to go over Ashmont Hill to Boston Harbor. After stops at Victory Road Park and Phillips’ Candies, we’ll follow the Neponset Trail back to Milton and ride a bit of the Boston side of the river to Hyde Park, where we will cross back to Truman Parkway and return to the start.Click here for more details

Written by Boston Biker on Mar 18The Metro Boston Chapter will be participating in a workday with the Charles River Conservancy on Saturday, March 29th from 10 – 2 pm. We will be pruning brush along the Paul Dudley White bike paths, location TBD. Please contact Chris Porter if you plan to attend , as spots are limited and he needs to RSVP to the Conservancy with the approximate participation.

WHY: This event is a great opportunity for friends to share favorite cycling stories over a glass of wine and some great food. Friendly Ciclismo staff will be on hand to answer any tour questions you may have. Also, sign up for a 2008 trip and receive an extra special, open-house only, bonus of $100 off a trip booking. Not only that, but all reservations made at the open house are eligible for our March promotion of 200 Euros in spending money per adult to be received on the first day of the trip.
