Written by Boston Biker on Jul 10

Strange news from the BPD:

At about 8:36am, officers from District A-1 (Downtown) responded to a call for a motor vehicle accident involving a bicyclist at 24 New Chardon Street.

On arrival, officers observed a 63-year-old male victim being treated by EMS for non-life threatening injuries sustained as a result of being struck by a motor vehicle (Boston Police Vehicle). The victim was transported to Massachusetts General Hospital for further treatment. The officer involved in the collision was transported to Tufts Medical Center for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

Detectives assigned to the Boston Police Department’s Fatal Collision Investigative Team are currently investigating the facts and circumstances surrounding this accident. At present, the cause of the accident is still under investigation and no violations or charges have been issued.

Anyone with information related to the accident is asked to call detectives at (617) 343-4470.

They both are going to make it…but what the hell…they both went to hospitals?
