Two Hubway Stations Moved

Written by Boston Biker on Sep 28

Happened last week, but if you haven’t noticed yet this might affect your commute.

From Hubway:

Stations to move after rush hour on September 22nd

Effective Thursday morning, at 10am on September 22nd, after the morning commute rush, the two Hubway stations located at North Station, TD Garden – Causeway at Portal Park #1 & #2, will be moved to accommodate ongoing construction in the area.

New docks will be placed in two different nearby locations (map below):

  • 16 docks will be added to the station at Nashua Street at Red Auerbach Way.
  • 35 docks will be installed on the west side of North Station at the new West End Park station, across the street from the Nashua Street at Red Auerbach Way station. Use the crosswalk at the intersection of Lomasney Way and Martha Road to access West End Park.
The original Portal Park stations will be in place for the morning commute rush on Thursday, September 22nd, until 10am. The new locations are expected to be installed immediately after the former stations are removed, but please note there may be some down time between removal and installation during which the docks will not be available. Please allow for additional time if looking for a bike or dock in the area. We recommend planning a backup mode of transportation in case the need should arise.

A Hubway Ambassador will be available for more information at the former station location on Thursday, Friday, and Monday. Hubway’s North Station Valet service will continue at the new West End Park station during its regularly scheduled times, Monday through Friday, 4-7pm. Please allow for additional time, especially during heavy commute times and evening rush hour if traveling to catch a train.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
