PI Day Race HeadBadge

Thought I would keep it simple and classy on this one, high polished brass over buffed copper.

Aww Shucks, Nice Write Up About My Headbadges

Posted February 11th, 2010 by Boston Biker

I like to fiddle around with metal, occasionally making some head badges. The nice author of Lovely Bicycle, has been kind enough to write up a nice post about my work.

After looking around a bit, I discovered that Boston Biker is a metal worker and makes splendid bicycle headbadges.

What I like about Boston Biker’s work is that it is artisanal: every badge is hand made, which I think is a good match for the “expressionist woodcut” style logo I have chosen. In the course of making arrangements with him to create my headbadge we also discussed the process itself, and I paraphrase it here in case others are curious how this works.

Thanks!

At some point I am going to put up some of my creations in the shop, but until then, if you are interested in a head badge, contact me. I also do other assorted bike jewelry/stuff with metal.

Just In Time For The Holidays, The BostonBiker.org Shop!

Posted November 18th, 2009 by Boston Biker

We are now selling some quality bicycle related goods!

Notice anything new up on the top bar there? Click the shop link at the top of the page and feast your eyes on our current offerings (some sweet stickers), more items will be showing up shortly (including headbadges with the option to get custom work done). At some point in the future we will also be offering the option for BostonBiker.org bloggers to use the store to sell their own items, but we will get to that in the future.

The system is very simple, and it has instructions, but if anything gets broken, or if you need help contact me.

If you have any suggestions please do leave them in the comments below.
