Whether across the globe or a few towns away, there’s nothing that recharges and expands horizons like bicycle travel.  The Festival will increase awareness and appreciation for bicycle travel by showcasing
independent films that depict the adventure, humor, and growth that happens on a two-wheeled journey.  We seek films that portray a broad range of experiences – destinations ranging from small Italian hamlets to a
campground 30 miles from home; solo travel or a family reunion on bicycles; an organized tour from inn to inn or a shoestring jaunt with tent and sleeping bag.

Boston Bicycle Film Fest Call For Entries

Written by Boston Biker on Jun 09

Got this in the email, not to be confused with the bicycle film fest, the Boston bicycle film fest is a great local film fest just for us Bostonian’s.

—————–

Organizers of the Fifth Annual Boston Bike Film Festival have asked filmmakers with a cycling habit to submit their work to be shown October 22-23, 2010, at the historic Brattle Theater in Cambridge. All film submissions are due September 18, 2010. The event is a fundraiser for local cycling advocacy groups, including MassBike and Bikes Not Bombs. Film concepts from last year’s festival ranged from an intrepid group of cyclists riding the Iditarod in Alaska, to the first group of mountain bikers to a rapper with a message. Among the benefits for acclaimed and amateur filmmakers, the Festival offers a chance to get their films in front of audiences who are intrigued and influential to the quality of cycling nationwide. Festival information and details for submissions can be found at www.bostonbikefilmfest.org
