Saturday Aug 10 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. Discover Roxbury Endurance Ride Bike Tour
Meets at Roxbury Crossing MBTA Station
Tickets Adults $10, Children $5
OK. The endurance ride through Roxbury’s hills isn’t as tough as a ride in Nepal! Yet, it is still a bit of a challenge. Don’t think of this as a tour, it’s more of an adventure. On this ride we’ll bike to the top Roxbury’s highest peaks, along some of its major roads, and past historic monuments. Stops will be limited to give us more riding time to cover as much of the neighborhood as possible. At the end of the ride, celebrate with a pub meal in Brigham Circle. Difficulty: Challenging.

Saturday Aug 10 midnight – dawn Boston By Bike at Night
Twenty-fifth Annual Tour of Architectural and Historic Sites
Meet at 11:15 PM in front of Trinity Church in Copley Square.
Bring a bicycle with a light and wear something reflective; helmet recommended.
Commemorative T shirts available. Bring something for pot luck breakfast Sunday in Christopher Columbus Park
Please bring a spare inner tube that fits your tires. Sponsored by Back Bay Midnight Pedalers.
In the past this has been 30-ish miles over 7-8 hours, meaning that there are a lot of interesting stops, where I usually learn something new about parts of our city. A few times in the past, the ride has gotten permission to go places that you can otherwise NEVER ride. ’nuff said.
Saturday Aug 17 10:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Fairmount Greenway Bike Tour
On August 17th, 2013 the Fairmount Greenway Task Force (FGTF) will host Fairmount Greenway on the Move, a bike ride aimed highlighting the current projects along the Fairmount Greenway. A guided group will take participants on tours along the proposed Fairmount Greenway route. The tour will run from South Bay to Mattapan before returning to Upham’s Corner, which will be at a leisurely pace for the 9 miles ride.
No bike? No problem. The FGTF will have some bikes available that participants can use, which will be picked up and returned to South Bay. To request a bike e-mail Michelle Moon at [email protected].
Bike Ride Schedule – August 17th

10:50 Arrive at Upham’s Corner
12:00 Arrive in Mattapan Square – bathroom and water break
12:15 Turn around to bike back to Upham’s Corner (for those who want to complete the loop)
