Construction On The Southwest Corridor Near Stony Brook Station
Written by Boston Biker on Aug 20Be warned, they take all the bike traffic and direct it right off a non-cut curb. Its also very hard to see in the dark. Go slow, and be prepared to dismount.

I like upgrades, but I wish they took detours during construction for cyclists a bit more seriously.

Or even as seriously as they do in Cambridge:

Yet another reason why bike paths (including cycle tracks) do not substitute for the right to use the road.

Warning, there is a small woman driving a very big Armada (Nissan SUV, that is) who is deliberately driving very closely to bicyclists using Lamartine Street adjacent to the path and sounding her horn loudly at the same time. This happened to me and another cyclist this morning (not at the same time).
She told me she would do it again. Unfortunately, I did not get the plate number.
I think we need to pass an anti-harassment statute, like they did in L.A., because even if the police did talk to her, they wouldn’t do anything, and no (good) lesson would be learned.
