Written by Boston Biker on Apr 23I have gotten word that Kristopher Carter current adviser to the Mayor, has been made the interim director of the Boston Bicycle program. I have heard from a couple people that he is a pretty good guy, but more info when I get it.

Mr. Carter seems to be very responsive. I requested racks and issued a complaint about the lack of a crossing at Route 9 and the Emerald Necklace @ Leverett Pond, and he got right back to me:
“As for the Route 9 crossing – this has been a black eye on the bicycle network for Boston and Brookline for years. The Town of Brookline (which has jurisdiction) and MassDOT are working on a solution for that crossing. The design has gone through extensive community process and will hopefully be installed next year.”
Sounds promising!
