Emerald Necklace Bike Path Under Construction
Written by Boston Biker on Jun 06I have gotten reports that the emerald necklace bike path between longwood and park st is under construction (see map here).
Anyone else notice this? Anyone got a good detour route for people?

The path on the Brookline side closed last week. The unpaved (stone dust) path on the Boston side of the Muddy River is open and can be used as a detour.

Yes, I used the path on the Boston side yesterday, and it was fine.

I rode on the new, delicious, smooth macadam today and I think it took 5 minutes off my commute. More than made up for a couple days riding on the muddy side which is made of mud, dust and rocks.

and then it was under construction again yesterday.
Back on the dusty side.
