Shiny Green Dot Ride

The fourth annual Shiny Green Dot ride is Saturday April 30th. Hmmm…you think you have plans that day?  Yes you do!  Saturday April 30th is the annual Boston Shines day.  In the morning, join your neighborhood association or local park’s “Friends of” group and help give your corner of Dorchester spring cleaning.

At 12:30pm, join us at Ashmont Cycles for an approx. 10 mile ride visiting just a sampling of Dorchester’s many beautiful green spaces.

We’ve varied the route over the past three years to visit a great variety of our neighborhood’s quiet oases, but the route is flexible.  Is there a park, garden, or tree-ish spot you’d like to show off?  Are you involved with a civic association, garden, or park Friends Of group that can participate by sharing a bit about what makes a green space special?  Please suggest!

The ride is at a casual pace, and participants should be prepared for riding on city streets.  Youth and children under 18 should be accompanied by a parent.
