The good: The actual installation takes only 1-3 days.

The bad: Its being done in October, instead of in April, like Nicole said would happen last year.

It makes me question the comm ave bike lanes. If theyre not put in by late November, then they wont happen until April. No roadwork is done in Boston between those months (excluding utilities, they dont mind digging holes and leaving bumps whenever)

Too bad the Menino administration toots it's own horn by stating that they've put a bike lane on N. Harvard St. in Lower Allston. They did - but only on the stretch that is bordered by Harvard's athletic fields, the stadium and the Business School. Is that strip of N. Harvard St safer? You bet - but what about the rest of the street from Cambridge St. to Western Avenue? Oh, right, we just live here...

Well, seeing the Columbus Avenue bike lane, I don't have much hope for any future bike lanes.
