Community Meeting On Harvard Allston Master Plan Transportation Options
Written by Boston Biker on Dec 08There will be a Community Wide Plan meeting Wednesday, December 10, at the Honan-Allston Branch Library (300 North Harvard Street) from 6:30-8:30 p.m. The meeting will focus on a BRA/Consultant team presentation of multi-modal transportation options.
This plan will set the long-term transportation vision for Harvard’s expanding area in Allston, including Western Ave. and North Harvard Street as well as local street and path connections. Different options for bicycle accommodations and networks are being discussed. I strongly encourage anyone with an interest in this area to attend.

I don’t believe they are going to go through with this immediately. Harvard’s whole losing $8 billion has put a bit of a damper on quite a few of it’s plans. It’s instituted a hiring freeze, and all. I would surprised if it was still full-speed-ahead on the new campus.
