Boston Bean Pot Race

Written by Boston Biker on Mar 07

The eighth annual Boston Beanpot Cycling Classic brings a weekend of intensely competitive collegiate and professional cycling to the Boston and Worcester areas. Cycling is one of the fastest growing recreational sports in the country, being called “the new golf,” and the Beanpot has been at the forefront of national racing for nearly a decade.

Spread out over the course of the weekend and the eastern part of Massachusetts, the Beanpot
is a series of three different races: a team time-trial, road race, and criterium. All three races are contested in the collegiate divisions, and the criterium will continue its legacy as one of the most challenging open races in the Boston area. This year marks the introduction of an open division in the team time-trial as well, and it is expected to draw a large crowd of new Beanpot racers.
